Our story
We have operated in the Municipality of São Gonçalo for 12 years.
Somos independentes, possuímos estrutura própria, vida e administração locais. Somos_cc781905-5cde-3194 -bb3b-136bad5cf58d_pessoa legal entity independent from other Red Cross associations existing in the country, as well as from the Central Body.
As established in article three of Federal Decree No. 23,482, of November 21, 1933, we operate as follows
administrative structure:
a) Municipal General Assembly;
b) Municipal Board of Directors;
c) Municipal Board.
Initiative, independence and collaboration.
The Brazilian Red Cross of São Gonçalo is a non-profit civil association with an independent legal personality, of a philanthropic nature, with an indefinite term, as established in Decree No. 2,380, of 31 of December 1910, and Decree No. 23,482, of November 21, 1933, both of the Federal Union and with the force of Law, with headquarters in the city of SÃO GONÇALO, State of Rio de Janeiro.
Our resources will be applied to achieve your goals and purposes
bylaws, exclusively within the country, without prejudice to its obligations as an affiliated association, in federative form, to the Brazilian Red Cross.
Our members are not responsible, directly or indirectly, for social obligations, do not participate in their results, or. patrimony. In the event of dissolution, just as it will not receive any remuneration when in the
holding positions in management, supervisory or deliberation bodies.

The institution emerged in 1863 and this emergence is credited to reports made by Henri Dunant, a Swiss businessman who was shocked by the mortality caused by a battle that took place in 1859.
The Red Cross is an international humanitarian institution with no state affiliation that works to defend vulnerable people caused by armed conflicts. The purpose of this institution is to provide assistance in order to ensure the protection of these people and to alleviate their suffering caused by the war.
