Projects

The Freedom and Social Justice Project is a partnership with the Municipality of São Gonçalo (Municipal Department of Social Development) which aims to serve 50 people with hearing impairment and 50 people on the autistic spectrum (limited vacancies).

In this project, socio-assistance services are offered (psychologists, social workers, speech therapists, and LIBRAS) within the scope of Special Social Protection of Medium Complexity to people with disabilities, in addition to offering support, reception and training to their caregivers, family members.

Throughout its entire existence, the Red Cross of São Gonçalo has been characterized by meeting the demands brought by the different federative entities, by the institutions of organized civil society or by the needs identified in the communities and brought by their popular leaders, always acting in the most diverse situations , from specific actions provoked by specific temporal needs or in the most different calamity situations. Now the institution is embarking on this, which is one of the most complex challenges in its history, assuming the commitment that encompasses the entire demand of people with hearing impairment (with or without comorbidities) and people with ASD.(KNOW MORE)
